Story of the Day #21 | Of The Day

Be a Warrior of your Dream

One day a son👦 came to his father👱 for an advice. “Dad, I can’t do this anymore” – he said, “those lessons only exhaust me, and the result doesn’t change🗞️. It must be not destined for me to play football⚽️ and my dream💭 will never come true.😇”

The father looked at his son with loving eyes😍 and said “You know son, every person in life💚 has a dream, a goal of his life. They are the ones that make us do what we are doing, because it’s what we should do. We have to fight⚔️ for what we believe in, what we feel. In other case, you will simply brake. Once – and for all. As thought you were never there. The easiest way is to quit everything and not go until the end, because the path is difficult and we are not used to inconveniences. We want everything to be easy and at once. But the wishes are fleeting! This is how our dream dies, and the goal becomes unreachable. Gradually, life becomes a routine without depth and meaning.

Then one day, we try to forget and start everything from the beginning, we wait for a new day to make our life different. But new obstacles come in our way, and we stop again. We become full of despair and anger😠 for our own helplessness. But you only need to remember one thing: never give up, fight, battle. It doesn’t matter that you have lost one battle and even dozens of battles. Life goes on! Your biggest enemies are hiding in you – laziness, fear, doubt, indecision. Be a warrior of your dream, a knight of your goal and a soldier of your wishes.

Story of the Day #20 | Of The Day

As we think so we become

In a village there lived a person Rama👦 who was suffering from indigestion. He took several medicines💊 to treat this ailment, but being chronic he couldn’t get cured. During one festive occasion a saint had come to Rama’s village to give a discourse. He was a highly learned man. Rama met the saint after his discourse and told him about his ailment. The saint gave him a simple cure; he asked him to chew some pieces of rock salt daily. On doing so for some time, Rama’s condition improved.

Rama was a generous man and used to feed🍚 the poor and little children sweets🍠 during the festivals.  On one such occasion he went to the market to buy some sweets as was his usual practice. When he began tasting the sweets to be purchased; he found them bitter. He thought perhaps the quality of sweet was not good at that particular shop. He went to many other sweet shops to check. Everywhere he found the sweets to be bitter. This was on account of his habit of sucking the salt daily. One shopkeeper who know his habit of eating the rock salt suggested to him to wash his mouth before eating the sweet. Rama listened to the shopkeeper’s suggestion and after doing so he tasted the sweet and the sweetmeat was sweet indeed.

Similarly while succumbing to our bad habits, we do not gain the sweet and sanctifying fragrance from the sacred company of the divine personalities that we come across. We can get benefit from the good company only after cleansing our minds. Thoughts are very powerful. As we think so we become and attract those kind of things to us. So let us think positive and good. Let us eliminate negativity and attract goodness, happiness and peace of mind for ourselves.

Story of the Day #19 | Of The Day

Pencil Story🖉

A boy👦 was watching his grandmother👵 write a letter📄. At one point he asked: ‘Are you writing a story about what we’ve done? Is it a story about me?’

His grandmother stopped writing her letter and said to her grandson: ‘I am writing about you actually… but more important than the words is the pencil✏ I’m using. I hope you will be like this pencil when you grow up.’

Intrigued, the boy looked at the pencil. It didn’t seem very special. ‘But it’s just like any other pencil I’ve ever seen!’

‘That depends on how you look👀 at things. It has five⑤ qualities which, if you manage to hang on them, will make you a person who is always at peace with the world.’

First quality: You are capable of great things, but you must never forget that there is a hand guiding your steps. We call that hand God and he always guides us according to his will.

Second quality: Now and then, I have to stop writing and use a sharpener. That makes the pencil suffer a little but afterwards he’s much sharper. So you too must learn to bear certain pains and sorrows because they will make you a better person.

Third quality: The pencil always allows us to use an eraser to rub out any mistakes. This means that correcting something we did is not necessarily a bad thing; it helps to keep us on the road to justice.

Fourth quality: What really matters in a pencil is not its wooden exterior but the graphite inside. So always pay attention to what is happening inside you.

Fifth quality: It always leaves a mark. In just the same way, you should know that everything you do in life will leave a mark so try to be conscious of that in your every action.

Story of the Day #18 | Of The Day

Technology is NOT Life💚

I had spent an hour🕐 in the bank🏦 with my dad👴, as he had to transfer some money💰. I couldn't resist myself & asked: ''Dad, why don't we activate your internet banking?''

''Why would I do that?'' He asked...

''Well, then you won’t have to spend an hour here for things like transfer. You can even do your shopping🛒 online. Everything will be so easy!'' I was so excited about initiating him into the world of Net Banking.

He asked ''If I do that, I won’t have to step out of the house🏡?

''Yes, yes''! I said. I told him how even grocery can be delivered at door now and how amazon delivers everything! His answer left me tongue-tied😑.

He said ''Since I entered this bank today, I have met four of my friends👬👬, I have chatted🗣 a while with the staff who know me very well by now. You know I’m alone. this is the company that I need. I like to get ready and come to the bank. I have enough time🕰, it is the physical touch that I crave. Two years back I got sick, The store owner from whom I buy fruits, came to see me and sat by my bedside and cried😢. When your Mom fell down👵 few days back while on her morning walk. Our local grocer saw her and called me and immediately got his car to rush her home as he knows where I live.

Would I have that 'human' touch if everything became online? Why would I want everything delivered to me and force me to interact with just my computer? I like to know the person that I'm dealing with and not just the 'seller'. It creates bonds. Relationships. Does Amazon deliver all this as well?'''
